    I don't think I actually made one when I started my company, although a did have a few Powerpoint presentations for investors. That came in handy a few times when friends or potential investors wanted to know what I was up to.

    Although I don't think I formally wrote a business plan, I spent a fair amount of time in my library researching my business idea and how to start a company in general.
